mp4, aac, mkv in Centrafuse 3?? How? Help?

I like the look of CF3 over SD2. Problem is playing these file types in CF3 mpa, aac, mkv, mp4. All codecs are up to date. SD2 can play these no problem at all.

I'm running trial versions of both, CF3 and SD2. I have both garmin and microsoft streets 09. I would like to integrate at lease garmin into one of them.
come to think i have 3 other 3 party software i would like to integrate also.

    RR is not a option.

Can you play them with Windows Media Player? If you can't, than CF can't either.

    Latest FFDshow here (OCT 27th):

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tryout/

And get Haali media splitter too for mkv. For aac you'll need to download some .dll too and copy it to CF folder, check CF faq.

Okay, how do you get them to try to play inside CF? Do you rebuild your library first?

Also, how do you play them in WMP? You just double click them and WMP opens them (meaning the extension is a known video extension?). I sometimes change the extension of all my .mkv and .mp4 files to .avi just to make them play smoothly whatever the application.

I tried to rebuild my library several times. still no luck. I'm about 95% done with trying to integrate these files into CF3. Seeing I don't like the gps software in CF3 i would've had a integrate Garmin or Streets and Trips into it also. I will run win7 on this carpc install, so I will probably just pin several programs to the taskbar...

Sorry to hear that. You should try CF forums for support. I'm at a loss why this is happening to you.
