Centrafuse 2.0 when using Skype

Hi gang,

I got a question here, I installed skype plug in yesterday and it works, however the darn thing tends to kick on this really loud hum from my sub-woofer reminds me of feed back when a mike is to close to the amp so I need to mute the Mic. Now the problem with doing this as you know, I am not able to be heard when using skype calls. I can hear the incoming call, but they won't hear me if it's muted.

So how do I get rid of this hummm? Anyone else have this problem?

I have the MIC installed above my head in the center of the car right near the windshield and the computer is in the hatchback on the left hand side, the audio amp is on the right hand side in the hatch. so as you can see this really should be a feedback problem right?

OK update now! lol

I took and uninstalled the sound card drivers then reinstalled them, doing this has fixed the crazy feed back noise i was getting. However I am able to now make calls and take calls, but my caller can not hear me very well, they are telling me that it sounds like i am talking in a tunnel. I can't seem to get this right, someone anyone please help me try and find out what my problem is.

If i use skype on my laptop or desktop i call anyone and it perfect they can hear me really good and i can hear them very good. The second i try it in the car i can hear them really good they just can't hear me very well. I have a good MIC and it is located in a good spot as you can tell in the attached photo.

Thats a directional microphone.... doesn't seem to be aimed in the direction of the driver though.

Thanks, I have it in the center of the car, I would of thought it would of been fine however never crossed my mind that might be the problem. I really can't put it anywhere else because of lack of room. I might be able to put it on my steering column however that would be pointing directly into my chest not my face. Wonder if I was to just plug in a regular old MIC and if that would work?

Yea see how the other mic does....you might even try just turning the existing mic more towards the driver and see if that does the trick.
