Hi,
I was watching a few movies this week, where the vehicles had a futuristic looking screen with a 3d character talking to the driver and I thought why can't there be a plugin or an entire front-end that is in the shape of a character giving you feed back and listening to your voice commands?
For example, you start the ignition and it starts talking asking you if you'd like to listen to some music?
I'm not good with coding and such but I'd reckon it's not that hard to do!
Because it would get annoying real fast.
Might get for some people but it'd look really cool when you get in the car and ask the character to start the ignition or call a friend, ha?
Just a thought though!

Not only that, but something like that is very very CPU intensive. Since alot of people use ATOM boards, they would come to a crawl. Also voice isnt really good in the car. Alot of time voice command cant figure out what your saying because of noise.
What I do think would be cool is a character that responds depending on what you push. So you push radio and maybe then it says radio and does a dance or something. IDK.

No the character dances, as though hes listening to music.
Let me ask, what do you guys call your cars, a guy or girl? i have been wanting to redo all my speech files to a certain voice, but I dont know if it should be a guy or girl? I want it to be a girl, but when I see my big Durango with a powerful V8, I dont see girl but guy.

lol... why Simone? I would call mine a tech name, like letters and numbers. ZX1 340, if its a boy. If it were a girl, maybe Ivy from Soul Calibur 4.... Its the only girl i'd go str8 for, lol.
