Hey thanks man. We bit off a little more than we could chew about a year ago, adding in too many features and it also introduced a lot of bugs. Hopefully 3.5 will address a lot of those issues.

I can't comment on the specifics of the iPod/Iphone issues because I'm not 100% sure about them. From what I've heard from guys at the office is that Apple is incredibly strict on how they allow reading and writing of playlists and it just can't be done legally without getting a license from them.

I know it works on like the shuffle, maybe the nano or something. I know they don't have restrictions on some of their devices, and we do support those. but the most popular ones they are tight on.

We hate the idea that you can't use your own playlists or import your own playlists from your computer. but we really haven't found a sound solution to combat this. Try to bring your saved playlists from one computer to another, chances are it just won't work. Different directory structures. it's a lot more complex than just dragging and dropping unfortunately.

Yep downloaded it today. It's looking really, really good already but have a lot more work and configuration myself to do some proper testing

Nice one. All your hard work has paid off on first opinions. Just need the SDK now

Rumor has it that Scott's hair is acually on fire as he works to finish up the new (and much improved) SDK. I know if it was me, that would be a VERY small fire!

Well I hope it comes with some good examples, especially on the lists side, becasue that is what I was having issues with compared to CF2

It does. I wrote some of the early C# examples, but I'm pretty sure they've all been re-done by now. More documentation. Pre-built app templates for Visual Studio, Complete, functional tutorial apps that cover all the standard CF controls and many of the underlying API features. Plus an ever-growing series of video tutorials on specific topics. A lot of effort has gone in to improving the development ecosystem and I think it will really improve productivity for experienced developers and make it easier for new guys to get started.

Owwww, you're killin' me here! Aren't you just a little curious to see how the other half lives? You know, walk upright, stand in direct sunlight for several minutes at a time, eat something besides cereal for dinner?

Full disclosure: My day job is all vb.net, all the time. So you can just imagine how messed up my head is writing vb.net all day, and C# all evening.

I'm not saying it won't happen, but I'd be a little bit surprised if the VB examples were as complete as the C# stuff.

I have enough problems stick semi colons at the end of lines when I do php scripts for my website.

I don't want to have to do that when I am writing proper programs.

If you're looking at the clock, then maybe it's the Cobol guys you should worry about

It's typical for him (and to a lesser extent many of the other CF/Fluxmedia folks)
