I downloaded cf4 in just a few minutes yesterday. Took maybe 10 minutes.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the story is for you there Chris350. I've checked this with folks all over the world and the number they typically see is around 600-700kb on the download. I'd try to clear cache, flush your DNS and reboot your router, 'cause something is hosed up in your pipe someplace.

Here's a screencap of a speed test up to Syracuse,NY. The relevant number that determines a customer's download speed is "upload" speed. I'm on a 5mb "up" pipe, and that's what I'm getting to just about every server you can test anywhere in the world. It would be great if I could get full pipe speed for a given download, but that just isn't going to happen on a shared cable.

Live update tiles would be great for plugins.

Traffic Cams could show the nearest camera to you.

FuelPrices could show the nearest or cheapest prices to current location

Upd8 could show the current status of sync'ing.

Would have posted this in the thread in the News forum over at centrafuse but for some reason I couldn't post in that thread but Big K could.

That's weird about the posts on the forum. I'll take a look.

The biggest issue facing most developers is the transition from windows forms to WPF. It's going to take some getting used to, and I'm looking at ways to make that process as easy as possible. But "live" tiles are not only doable, I think their almost required. It really is one of the prime benefits of Windows 8. Being able to size and place the tiles where you want them turns the menu into your defacto dashboard.

    Anyway, should be fun...

I've been looking for a reason to try 8 again. Now that I have the right screen this would be the perfect excuse. ;-)
