    Hmm... Maybe a bug...

I'm getting "Unable to play File" if the filename contains special characters.

e.g.: "It Wasn´t Me" is displayed as "It Wasn??t Me" and i can't play the file.

This piece of code definitelly looks awesome. The only weakness I can see so far it requires .NET. Is it the main program that has this requirement or is it needed just to use PhoneControl.NET? I mean .NET is waste of space and performance (which is always something to look for on Epia motherboards most of us uses). It also requires IE which is not listed on your webpage. BTW what does it use to play movies and music files? Is it WMP or does it use its own code? These informations are always usefull I mean lot of us uses demodularized OS...

    Hi,

I have installed it at home, and although i didn't get much time to experiment, even after I uninstalled it the computer when left a while prompts for login and the same on startup.

I am not very strong with XP, this must be a simple setting that the program changed, How do I change it back.

    Cheers,

    Matt

    mpattonm:

Have you ever worked with .NET. It's GREAT and makes life so much easier.
Waste of space? It's not thiiiis big and you need it for much software today and in the future.
Performance loss? I don't believe it's a great one for a software like this. As far as i can see everything that really needs power (Musik, Video) is handled by DirectX.

Of course the best way to go for me, because you don't get the instability, you get if you try to interact with other software.

Hey David, phonecontrol won't start. When I press it, it just resumes to the Home screen.
Just an ideea: what about a button that acts like the Jump button in Winamp, and when you press it the virtual keyboard appears too, and after the song is selected the screen keyboard dissapears. As I said, just an ideea.

0l33l... Currently it only plays playlists... There is an option in setup that says "Clear Playlist". If you enable this option it will automatically clear the playlist and by default be in id3 mode in the last place you were located... So once that is enabled all you do is select the album you want and click "++", then click load and it will start playling...

I am planning on also adding a "play now" button to the bottom of the music manager, which will automatically clear the playlist and play the selected album or directory...

    David

Tried the above but still getting unable to play music error message.

'Less playlist centric. The music manager is too complicated. From the main music screen users should be able to access all their music, browse by album, artist, and title as well as search for a song. I know this is a major request, but having to use the music manager to access the library cripples the functionality of the software.'

This is why frodo player is still better.

.NET Framework is only 28MB...and it allows you to run complete managed code, which means better performance, better garbage collection +++ a ton more features.

MSFT is betting a very large percent of their business on .NET, Connected Systems and Web Services.....

    ...get educated.
