unless i'm not understanding what you're saying, i think you're doing something wrong. I have all my music arranged in folders by album name, and when I'm in my /music/albums folder, i see all the album folders. then i can highlight the folder and hit the '+' button to add it to the playlist, and then the check mark to activate the playlist....

that's right....but what happens when you want to play a different album? When I come back into Music Manager, and select highlight another folder and click '+', it doesn't clear the current playlist and add the new tracks, instead it adds the tracks to the end of the current playlist, making it larger...

With MC and ME, once you highlight a new album folder and add, it clears the current list and auto plays the album folder you are in, that's what I haven't been able to do with centrafuse yet.

l22arg: In setup there is an option "Auto clear playlist". It is disabled by default. This is the option you are looking for...

1.0.1 has has a revamped easier to use music manager... coming really soon ... Now that the holidays are over, I will hopefully have a working version of 1.0.1 next weekend

Exactly what I was thinking. An autohide of selectable options when in full screen.

I find that when using the GPS that there is still header space being used up at the top and on these 7" Xenarc screen it would be nice to get as much usable space as possible. Maybe make it an option to autohide everything that can be hidden or having selectable those items you wish to autohide when in full screen.

    Crossfade

Any chance for an option to enable crossfading in CF in the future?

    It's not a necessity, but more of a nice-to-have.

Meta: Do you mean fading from screen to screen? I had this one an earlier version (before I released here). It worked and looked awesome, but was really slow on slower computers, such as my M10000... So I took it out... I might could make it an option for people running on fast machines, but my main focus is to get all my speed issues resolved, which I think finally might happen in my 1.11 update coming in a couple of days

Yeah... he's got it. In fact, that's the WinAmp plugin I use.

I mean audio cross-fading... that blends the end of one song into the next... like what you hear on the radio.

... and, maybe at some point in the future, allowing the option to use WinAmp as the audio driver instead would allow the user to utilize WinAmp's plugins, visualizations, etc. I know some of the other front-ends make use of this. Just an idea, and might save you the headaches of trying to reinvent the wheel for people who want those DSP and visualization features down the road.
