do you have an approx time of release for the next update for centrafuse with the speed problems fixed? i love the application but with the long waits to change screens makes in almost unusable.

I would love to have a CF or similar boot drive, but I am going to wait till everyone tests it and sorts out the issues first. I think there will be greater things getting better in the near future (microdrives?)
lol. were not talking about CF (compact flash) drives, were talking about CF (Centra Fuse)

My speeds are super fast, but then again I am running a Celeron D 2.4ghz processor on a Shuttle 865 MB, with 1gb of Ram. It loads the different pages as fast as I can hit them with my fingers.

well the new version is here, and yes it is faster than the last one, but to be honest its still kind of slow, i still see loading screens on most of the screens and from click to load it still takes 3-4 sometimes 6 sec to change screens (i can see every button draw one at a time). Sometimes though, it changes very fast, seems to fluctuate (im my carpc) but on my desktop its same as previous version.

now just to restate my specs,

    my car pc

P4 2.6 GHz (should be fast enough for anything short of Doom3 or HL2)
    512MB of Ram
    winXP
"onboard graphics Intel crap" but still should be fast enough

    home PC
    Dual P3 1Ghz x2
    1GB of Ram
    Nvidia GF4 4200
    winxp
yeah, yeah i know, the upgrade is on its way

    work pc
    P4 3Ghz
    1GB ram
    Ati Radeon someting Pro
    win xp
CF runs the fastest on this box, but not by a lot.

Now of those that had speed issues in the first version, do you still have them?
And can those who say the app goes as fast as they can click post your specs?
There must be something fundamentally different(video card, video card settings etc.) thats making it run blazin fast on some boxes but slow as hell on others.

I developed CENTRAFUSE on a P4 1.6 laptop with onboard video. The screens load instantly... Not sure what is going on....

yeah, im not sure whats going on either, but i do want to get to the bottom of it. If your running onboard video (probably the exact same chip i have, intel crap) it should load fast for me too. Im going to install it on another machine i have around here, P4 something but it has none of the requirements so everything will be a fresh install and see how it goes on that machine

It's VERY fast on my 2.5Ghz P4 with 100mhz FSB and 1gig of PC2700 ram.
