Touch XM works with the XM direct? I've tried it, but I can't get any sound. I can see/change channels fine, but no sound..

If you initiate your XM with TouchXM, you may need to manually unmute your line-in

There should be an option to enable the port in your BIOS.

Actually, now that I re-read what you originally wrote.. I have the same problem ONLY when I hibernate the carputer [edit: and this is with an XMPCR]. If I do a full restart and let the hardware reinitialize, everything is fine. So I've resigned myself to shutdown/restart instead of hibernating. Ok, so it takes a couple of seconds longer to boot, but it gives me a few extra seconds to warm up the car in the winter.. =|

i gotta ditch my time trax, and somehow figuer out how to connect to the COM2 header on my MII1000 board...any idea how that would be accomplished?
Edit: The motherboard should have come with a cable to connect to the 2nd serial port header on the motherboard..

Here is the header, this is from the MII-Series manual.. I can't quite figure out how to display the attachment in the post [Edit: nevermind, it displays on its own.. do'oh!], so here is the link

AH HA! i knew the port was there, but nope, no cable! those sons of @#E@@

I beleive the problem is a usb hibernation woe, like the ninety bajillion already documented usb hibernation woes.

This is why im thinking a direct serial method should work better

It needs the magic bytes. There are some programs that will send the
    bytes and then launch TouchXM.

I imagine that the FP-XM module will take care of this for us? =)
