david, I noticed that switching back from gps full screen to normal screen shows button redraws (both music and radio) each time
and, don't know how you manage the embedded app to shutdown but I got an error message from the gps application very often but not always, when I shut down cf

I always get the error when I shutting down CF with destintator loaded. I'm going to record the error messge and pass it to Ninja monkey when I get my car back from the garage after its spray job to me new bumper.

I did some searches with confliction results but i have never had iGuidance 2 embedded properly within centrafuse.

I know it opens it but it never gets embedded. I have "iGuidance" in the search field and the correct path. BTW this is on a windows 2000 machine. Anything I overlooked?

bertybassett: you don't have to have 1.11 loaded, just overwrite your current exe with this new one and you should be good. Ninja posted in a thread in this forum and I thought he said his Hotfix #3 would fix his closing problem.

antimater: Weird... iGuidance 2 is what I personally use and I have never had a problem embedding it. iGuidance is the window name you should be using, unless it is different on Windows2000. I have never run CF on 2000, only XP.

I will give it a shot on my car pc which is running XP Pro. I hopefully will have better luck. BTW i really like your program. The only things missing IMO are Remote Control Access (which can be done with Girder i suppose), XM and an External Applications module.

All in all great application

note: you can remove the text on the left buttons on that skin so that it just shows the icons. Look in the skin.xml file and under global nav set enabletext = false for all those buttons...

The skin problem was only the first time you change the skin. A restart of CF solves that. My guess is that CF doesn't erase the text.

CF is currently running very fast on my 2.5ghz p4 machine with 1gig of mem. And the weird artifacs are still present.

0l33l: I fixed it where you don't have to restart after you first change the skin.... As for the alt-tab thingy... I am not sure... I don't get those, even on my slow M10000 with onboard video... Anyway you can try it out on a different machine and see if it still happens?

bertybassett: I will ask Ninja about it. I am currently talking with him to try and figure out the refresh problem... Worst case I will just add a Kill process in my code, which should kill it for sure... Right now I just attempt the proper close, but Ninja's app doesn't seem to want to close and hangs both applications...
