Use winsock to send the quit command. But then it wouldn't work when you have NaviVoice running

I created a very basic VB app and exactly the same happened.

And then with my D3 launcher, It checks to see if centrafuse is still running and if not will close itself, but when you exit CF the app seems to get locked up by your close message and will no longer check.

If I send a WM_CLOSE to any of these apps they close fine. What gives?

IMHO it seems that if one app (D3) is checking if the other (CF) is up in order to close itself. And the second app (CF) is tryning to send a close app on close. It can lead to much confusion depending on when the requests hit the OS. IT ewould be interesting to see if the close command from CF will work if D3 is not checking on the state of CF.

D3 doesn't check to see if centrafuse is running, the launcher I created today does and this issue has been around way longer than that.

And it's nothing to do with D3 itself because like I said, i've tested it with a blank VB app

    So, er, try again

Ninja Monkey: I have your D3 installed and embedding now, so I will test out some new closing methods and see if I can come up with anything. As of now, sending the Kill command fixes the problem and works... I have an idea of another way to close out my stuff and I will see if this works first. If not, I will just release the version that sends Kill. I didn't notice any adverse affects from it...

Nother issue is lack of memory. I myself don't run a DC-DC timer sol'n, nor do I ever shut down windows properly. When I pull the key out of my car. The computer shuts. Most of the time, I let the computer shut down with Centrafuse still running. When I boot it back up, it never comes back to the last played song or location and never to the last Video played. It always reverts back to the top of the playlist. WOuld be nice to have some kinda of track of the last song played or something so i am not always listening to the same song non stop. Thx.

Another issue. Start up Centrafuse, video, playlist, clear playlist, and something to the playlist. Load it. Start playing. Then shut off carputer rapidly. When you restart the carputer, centrafuse doesn't keep in the modified paylist but the old playlist instead.

DaRacerz: Both of your problems are related to the fact that I didn't save out current session information on shutdown, only on the click of the exit button. It was an oversight, since I mainly use hibernation. This has already been fixed and will be in the next release
