I was not able to embed it even when knowing the window names. I tried resource hacker and was still unable to get it embedded. I was able to get the window names and was even able to get copilot to be in a window but it does not scale well. Graphics and text start over lapping when you shrink it into a smaller window.

Good luck. I think the best bet would be to maybe have a control button loaded that would toggle you back and fourth. I had recommended this about a month ago but I don't think anyone has come up with a way yet.

What I am doing is using Copilot 8 un-embedded, alt-tabber made opaque so its not visible and set in the corner on every startup. Centrafuse is the front end and I just toggle between CF and Copilot by tapping on the corner of the touchscreen. Works great for me and no reson to embed.

Just got wind of the alt-tabber by Brady. I asked for him to update it with no red line going down the middle and he posted it today as version 2.1.2 if you don't want the center separation bar.

Alt-Tab program for the touchscreen

This little app works wonders for those apps not capable of embedding.

Man, all I've tried is DeLorme because it came with my GPS reciever and I am broke. I can't even find a place to buy D3 USA and I can't find D3, CoPilot, Radius, or any other GPS program on BitTorrent. What's with the Warez community dis'in GPS yall? I wish they had demos or something. I don't want to buy it unless I know it will integrate with CF well and be easier to use then DeLorme which I already have.

I originally bought Delorme.....eventually I used it as my trade in for copilot......Delorme sucked for control while driving...text too small...no reguiding when you make a wrong turn...I could keep on going....spend the $99 on the upgrade and save yourself from a more expensive accident later down the road.

As far as embedding.....I tried it a while back and could not make it happen. I use the alt-tabber and it works great ...but ......still want to see it embedded. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do that? I already use the window names app and it gave me a result of "CoPilot Live" minus "". I'm not sure why it won't embed?

The way CoPilot draws the GUI Interface won't allow it it to embed. I was able to get it embedded but they appear to use a grid of patters for interface. When embedd it does not resize appropriately and all the graphics overlap one another. It's a real mess and totally unusable. The only screen that can embed is the planning screen, the guidance screen is a useless cause to embed. I wish it could have embedded as well but I also found that many area particularly rural areas were incomplete. You would follow a road and then all of a sudden the road didn't exist.

I sent CoPilot back because it just was not worth the $250 in my opinion or the $99 for a tradein for that matter.

What are you using now?

Have you tried Destinator 3 or Iguidance?

I currently have destinator 3 with map monkey integrated into FP (I am also in CA) and can honestly say I am not impressed, the maps looks cheesy, and has poor POI features. I do appreciate the solid integration though. Unfortunately, it doesnt know where I live so I have to point it to the nearest street.

I am hoping someone who has compared all three can chime in and give a good comparison.

I wonder if soeone could write an app like mapmonkey for it.. to use the maps .. cus the map data seems good..

or it would be great to ahve an allputpose navi software.. and you just use different maps from different apps via plug-ins ..

I finally got a copy of D3. I think it is awesome when integrated to CF. I would still like to try Routis, IGuidence, and Co-Pilot, but without CF integration, I'm thinking I'll stick with D3.

David: We need Voice Commands and hot-keys for D3 (like Navi-Voice). I would also like to be able to switch to music and still have D3 prompting my turns. Also, will more of is screens be skined in 1.3 (Like Menu->Destination->Favorites)?
