not really not used in europe :P:P but i'll hope with you
Ok, so, im a little let down with the fact that more people arent trying to get XM working with centrafuse.
We are so close to having everything we could really want right now in Centrafuse, but XM is majorly lacking.
Frodo's software works fine with hibernation on its own, but not when embedded, can ANYBODY think of why this might be, and if theres a way to get it to work?
We have two people actively making skins to bring XM to centrafuse, and i know mine works at this point, so long as you dont have to hibernate, resume.
Maybe i'm out of line, but isn't there a strong demand for xmdirect integration into Centrafuse??
Please Help!

Add my 2 cents to the XM request. I'm "using" FP now but it's almost an annoyance to me at this point. Although it's great for showing off a demo to newbies, I can't USE it. The basics that I want right now are XM and GPS and in Frodo I can't listen to XM while I have GPS on the screen. There's no way to see GPS and have XM playing. I have a modest mp3 collection (where FP shines) but it can get old with as many miles as I drive so XM is a perfect choice (in the US). I'd really like to find a skinnable frontend that can simply perform the functions I want (GPS, XM, MP3, DVD, APPS) and be able to easily switch among them.
Use Frodo's [SAT RADIO] Alpha 2, and try to integrate that into CF.Originally Posted by wysocki

Here's another reason I like XtremePCR. With it running as an external app through Frodo, it has popups for next song and favorites. I probably have 50 artists and 100 songs currently defined in my favorites. So while I'm motoring along with the GPS running in Frodo, whenever a favorite on any of the XM channels is detected, it pops up on top of the GPS giving me 15 seconds to decide if I want to change the channel and listen to the new song. Popups have a few buttons on them: change for this song and return to original channel, change channel, save as favorite song, save as favorite artist, add artist to trash, add song to trash, etc.Originally Posted by liquid_smoke
I prety much manage the radio entirely through the popups. Otherwise I use alttabber to pull it to the foreground (its sized to blend into my frodo screens) make whatever changes I like and then click on a visible part of Frodo to change focus.
It's still a kludge, but works for me. I have gotten used to doing the same with radiator under Frodo. I set radiator to ask when closing. If I select no on exit, the radio keeps playing until I go back to it and shut it off. Its the only way I could figure out to listen to FM while navigating with Frodo.
Ol33l That Alpha 2 is exactly what i'm talking about, i even went as far as to make a correctly size skin for it to embed in centrafuse. YES, it works fine the first time you embed it, its gorgeous, 15 presets, perfect for what i want. BUT it does not resume from hibernation correctly when embeded. And, due to a limitation in Centrafuse, you can not simply close the program that you embed, and then relaunch it without restarting centrafuse!
