    Play mp3 from removable media

    Hello all!

I just installed my CarPC and after trying several frontends I chose Centrafuse, I like it a lot! I have one question though, often I bring a cd or a usb memory with mp3:s to my car. How can a play the mp3:s on these removable medias from centrafuse? I tried putting a shortcut to the cd in the music directory but it didn't turn up in centrafuse. Is there any solution to my problem?

    Regards
    Snorre

not in 1.2... 1.3 will now play data CD's... so you can put music and videos files in any directory format on a CD and just insert into CF and play... You can also add music to your library without rebuilding it, so you can add more than one path to the DB...

did the multiple path feature ever get implemented? If so, how are the paths delimited? Please let us know

    Thanks!

when you click rebuild it clears the database and adds all the music specified in the music path... But you can also click update library and "add music"... this will add music to the database from a specified path.. you can add as many paths as you want... It will also not add the same song twice... So, for example, if you had a second music folder that originally had 100 songs... When you "add music" and select that directory, 100 songs will be added to the DB... If you then copy 20 more songs into the same folder and use "add music" to add the same folder a second time, it will only add the 20 new songs...

Is it possible to also play from a USB memory?

So you can select data CD or USB.

Playing from a USB device would be a good feature, especially for those who have a USB port on their dash with a USB pen drive connected to it.
