    Master & Wav Volume

Is there any way to get the Master and Wav volume to turn up and down together. I have a M10000 mobo and using the onboard 5.1 sound card.

    Thanks.

the mixer in 1.3 has lots of options... It has independent controls for just about everything in the mixer including front, rear, center/sub... I don't currently have any logic in place to raise the anything other than the master volume with the global volume controls...

I could see having it raise the front, rear, center/sub the same amount as you increase the volume, but not sure why you would want to tie in the wave...

    Hi David,

Have you considered "mixer presets" for the next release? I listen to some a bunch of different genres of music, and for each I'd want to adjust the amount of output to various channels. It would be handy to be able to press one button to adjust mixer settings.

    Thanks

Hi Thanks for the reply. The problem is, when I lower the volume, only the lf, lr lower. Ithink the master controls one side and the wav controls the other. When I use wmp, divx player, 4am music console etc. The volume works fine.
I only get this problem using Centrafuse and Frodo.

I remember downloading a patch from this site that allows the Master and WAV volume to lower and raise at the sametime in Centrafuse and Frodo. It worked perfect, until you restart the comp tho. Then back to normal

guess I'm not sure how the 5.1 works... What exactly does the wave control in relation to 5.1? On my VIA there are independent controls for Front, Rear, Center/Sub... I use all three for output and dont' use wave to adjust any of them...

Time to revive an old thread...

Just installed Centrafuse on my carputer (VIA Epia M10000 board), and I have this same problem. The volume up and down buttons only seem to control the Front Speakers (verified by looking at the mixer in centrafuse). The wav channel seems to be the only volume control that will control all speakers, and that's what we M10000 users want. Anyway to allow this, or link front/rear volume adjustment? I'm not sure what it is with the simulated 5.1 sound, but I've had this problem with frodoplayer, roadrunner, and media engine. Only Mobile Media Center had the volume adjust the wav, so I know it's possible.

    Thanks.

You need frodo's matchvol.exe do a search and you will find it. It runs in the background and locks the master and wave together.
