major changes in 1.31?

i'd like to know if there are going to be major changes on the next release of centrafuse, since i've already started skinning centrafuse beta2 (1.3).

if the skin on the next release is going to be drastically different, please tell me now so i can stop now before i put in too much work on it and then find out i'm gonna have to do it all over again.

David has said no major changes to skin, but since he is adding new features, I suspect the 'Settings' window will have new buttons etc, and therefore the SKIN.XML file will also require some new tags...

there actually are some changes relating to the skin, but nothing major... I added a few new sections in the xml and changed some things... I clearly documented every single change I made so it should very easy for you to update your current skin.xml...

I also changed the image format from jpg to png... So you will need to re-export all your images... I am not quite sure why I ever used the lossy format jpg, but the png's look much much better...

hmm so does this mean centrafuse won't be able to read skins that are made in jpg's anymore? because if it still could read jpg's i plan on keeping the skin that i'm working on in jpg, there is not much detail on it anyway.

I also utilize transparency in a few images now, which is not supported with jpg... Your graphics software should be able to export png and it should be just as easy as using jpg... in most cases the files were even smaller... The images are better quality, resize without near the amount of distoration, and support transparency...

you could possibly rename all your jpg's to png and centrafuse should still load them... the places that use transparency will most likely not look right.. mainly the main logo and the playcontrols...

yeeey... PNG support... finally somebody who sees the benefits of this kick-*** image format!
You can not believe how much benefit it has compared with jpg for interfaces.

no no.... just the skin runs off png... I did not change anything related to album art... I still use folder.jpg.. that's what XP uses and I will not be changing that...
