I do the same (syncing from garage), and with 802.11g wireless, it takes only ~20 seconds per CD

ive got a little security idea.. that ive ment to put up ages ago.. hope no one has betten me

based on StevieG's Access Control Software

basicly using his idea... but making its not always on, i have played with his software but it was a while ago..

so a button in the menu somewhere for extended leaves with the computer would bring this password menu up on start ups when the button is pressed b4 a shut down. and will remain on the password screen on all the following restarts untill the password is entered and this will then start up normaly from there??
hope that makes sences. its 4am here

full size HD's are cheap.... I only use laptop drives in my car... which is what most carputers being sold use...

This has already been added to 1.5... A fully integrated lockscreen that uses a number dialog... If the screen is locked and the power is killed or computer is shutdown, it will still be locked when the app restarts...

NS, JIT: What software do you use for SYNCing? It really detects ID3 changes when even the file-size didn't change? That's awesome. I have never heard of SYNCing software that worked very good.

I have a PCI card, the smallest I could find. It was inexpensve too! About $25 shipped...

I am using EzSync (search forum). It detects date modified (I am almost sure) so as long as you save modification date when updating ID3 tags (I use 'The GodFather for this') you will be OK.

i use vice versa plus.

same deal, it looks at size, last modified date, etc

it has lots of sync options, like "replace, replicate, bidirectional synchronize, replicate and prune" really cool stuff

its like 25 bucks, well worth it - definitely worth supporting its an awesome piece of software...

the pro version allows you to run it on resume from hibernate etc and also allows command line parameters- you can create a SYNC shortcut on the desktop and it does it automatically....

i'll have to look into the G routers and wifi cards to get the fast transfer

I tried to search in case this have been covered before, but I couldn't find anything so here goes...

I'd like support for profiles (presets), that would cover all centrafuse settings including phoneco and playlists.
That way you'd just go into settings, profiles and tap "his" or "hers" to get your own favorite setup.

And while I'm wishing, I might as well ask for this to be controllable through the SDK.
That way I could read what memory, for the powered seats in the car, is used and set the profile automatically
