Adding new music/Rebuild Library??

What is the quickest way to be able to load new music into CF's database without having to rebuild the entire database again? Currently I just drop new music into my organized folders in windows explorer, then I go into centrafuse and do library rebuild, but even with just ~5000 songs it takes a good amount of time to rebuild.

Any suggestions, or is that the only way to do what i'm asking?

I know there is a way.... you do an ADD MUSIC on the entire folder. It will add only the new ones, but for some reason I don't quite trust the way that works.

I hope David can put some clever coding in there to iprove it, because as is, I always end up rebuilding the whole thing with over 3000 MP3s... take a LOT of time!

Thanks justintime, hopefully David will read this and let us know the proper way to add new music WITHOUT having to rebuid the entire library. He's probably got it where it has to re-index everytime new items are added, which is good for when in the application and searching, etc, but bad for the initial adding of music

I know this is old but..

Does this really work? and do you mean Import as opposed to "add music"

Rebuilding SUCKS! I have 35GB of music.

I have the same problem, but don´t wanna use the import feature, because I want to decide where the music goes on the disk and copying it via WLAn to the car and then copying in from disk to disk again in the car is tiresome

If you use the import and browse to a network drive, USB device, or CD and copy somewhere on your local hard drive, it will auto read the tags and add just the new music to your library...

I plan to have a service that runs and monitors the music folders and also to have an application you run inside your house to manage your library, playlists, etc...

This morning it took 12 minutes to rebuild my index...

Are you saying we should use the Import feature? I dont get it, import doesnt seem to work for me. I tried for videos, is that an issue?
