#1 Request for 1.5

My biggest request that I hope can make it into 1.5 is for CF to be able to load things on start-up when it is the shell. Right now I have to goto Apps to launch Girder and Delorme Serial Emulator if I want to use my remote, Powermate, steering wheel controls, or GPS. I know I could setup a bat file as the shell or something, but that just seems messy to me and I've never gotten around to doing it.

I would also like to be able to launch and embed iGuidance and GPSSecure on startup in the background, but that is secondary to just being able to launch Girder & the GPS serial emulator which are both "system-tray" apps.

Please consider this a priority after you are done with the SDK David. TIA.

PS: My second most-missed feature would be to continue the song where it left off rather than starting it from the begining. Both of these 2 features are critical for those of us not using hibernation.

I plan to take care of both of those... Question about remembering the position... The latest versions of Centrafuse write any setting changes when they happen.. this way you can shut off the computer improperly by killing the power and Centrafuse will remember all your settings... The problem is with the current position I don't really want to do extra IO every single second... Do you use a shutdown controller to properly shutdown windows? I can easily add the code to remember postion when the app receives the shutdown command, but I'm not sure how many people there are that don't properly shutdown windows...

Anyone just killing power to their PC rather than shutting it down is just asking for trouble. Saving the time on a proper shutdown is fine (you should do it as soon as you recieve the shutdown request because my music keeps playing while the PC is shuting down, but my radio is already off so I can't hear it).

If you wanted to be just a tad safer than that, you could additionally save the time every minuite or 30 seconds or something, but I have no need for that personally.

I think if you have to kill your PC instead of proper shutdown, you have bigger problems than just remembering the position.

Just save the position upon proper shutdown. My 2c!

As stated in the request thread, Id also like a way to launch applications but not necessarily embed them as a windowed app

I'm wondering what those problems are. I have done hard shutdown on my carputer literally thousands of times without any problems.
