    Media Navigation Order

Is it possible to set up CF to search by Genre, then Album?

I.e. I'd choose 'Rock' and it'd give me a list of all the albums in the Rock genre?

    I don't.

    For instance:
In my Drum & Bass folder, I have an album called 'D&B Anthems 1993-2005'

Every track on that album is by a different artist. If I go Genre->Artist->Album, I can't play the entire album, because each artist comes up seperately.

If I go straight through 'Albums' it takes me ages to scroll through my 739 albums.

The only way I can do it is through directory browsing. If Im gonna do that, I might as well just use the free Road Runner software.

Splinter has a point. Although I would say that need/scenario is no where near as common as Genre->Artist->Album

Which is why the option for both would be great

There were a number of requests for this in the requests thread. I think David is already aware of it, but don't know if he's going to do anything on it.

for a quick fix, why not go into the ID3 tags of the tracks on that album and standardize them all to the same genre and album

The problem is the artist, not the genre.

What I've had to do as a 'fix' is to rename all my MP3s so the Artist is whoever compiled the album, instead of who wrote each individual song.

This kinda sucks, since now the songs come up as belonging to someone else.
