HI,
sure, David has all the right to do this, and no-one forces me to use centrafuse.
But .. i also have every right to complain about it .. but if you read, i am still with centrafuse.

Well I suppose as the developer David has the right to approach this however he wants.

well thats exactly my point... what is "car-pc-hardware". my car pc hardware is a athlon 2800+, so could be yours. it was your choice to put something inferiour into your car. given the price of the epia stuff and what is available in the 'normal' market nothing suggest to waste money on some customized board. as i said - i have a ordinary asrock mini-atx board witha ordinary cpu, ram and stuff that fits just perfect in the back of my car. installation was a matter of hours.Originally Posted by superbowl
cf is a high end application with tons of features... i don't expect my mobile phone to run complex multimedia-apps despite they would be technically supportet. they are just slow. thats what i have my mobile mediaplayer for.
as for my car - i expect a shiny application that handels and looks just as good as my mediacenter for my tv - not a stripped down application that runs on an old 486er... i want cf to SHINEEEEEand hey - if this needs 2ghz and a 3d-card, thats fine with me. as i understand it there are lots of other programs around for you to use...
My Car-PC: Athlon XP Barton 2800+, 512 MB Ram, 60GB HDD, Radeon 9800 Pro, 7" Touchscreen MM400 :)
There is and always has been a clear path for Centrafuse development... It might result in buggy PUBLIC releases and I apologize.... The feature list has been locked and all features will be implemented in 1.6, with the exception of possibly 1 not making it in until 1.7... then the focus is on stability and performance, which I also have been focusing on...
And for demo purposes, at shows such as CES, features means a lot more than daily stability...

I just got back from 3 days at CES and couldn't find David. Neither FluxMedia nor Centrafuse were in the show directory. I walked by everybooth in the north hall of the lvcc (where the car electronics where) and didn't see him. He could have been somewhere else, the divisions of the halls are certainly not absolute, but why wasn't he in the directory? David, did you not have a booth? If you did, I am very sorry to have missed you; I really wanted to meet you and of course see what you've come up with for 1.6.
We were booth sharing with a few companies and doing demo rides with journalists mainly....Originally Posted by donde

Thats nice and all, but now that CES is over, the question on everybodies lips is, when can we expect 1.6?
