I disagree. GammaControl only requires you to configure the settings once, and then you never touch it again. I mean, NEVER.

Depends on what you want... I'm not dogging GC, but personally I would like to be able to switch between different tints (red and black), and adjust levels quickly & easily for varying conditions i.e. twilight through darkness, transition from rural darkness to city limits, etc.

I could use GC for this if the GUI was changed, maybe using sliders to change values instead of buttons, and the ability to link values so they adjust together. Extra presets would help too.

Oh, I see. I can't imagine using it that way. But to each his own!

Following a link from the other thread mentioned above, there is a Widget that does almost exctly what I wanted:

The Tint Screen Widget. Cost about 5MB of RAM and the CPU load is almost nothing...
