Question regarding running apps on startup

If I try to add an application on startup thru the settings screen, no .exe's in the directory show up.

What's the formatting for adding a startup app thru the launch.xml file? I'm kinda new to all this but I need matchvol to run or I don't have any volume control!

you should be able to go to tools and then into settings... There is an option to set startup/shutdown commands. Simply click it, then select when you want the command to run and hit ok, then hit the "+" sign to add a startup command... From this second dialog you will be able to select an exe... You can also specify optional parameters... just hit cancel or enter with nothing typed if you don't want/need any parameters...

the .exe I want is in my root C:\ directory and when I click on C: it shows all the folders, but no .exe files. That's why I was hoping I could just add it to the .xml.

Yea....I can verify that no exe or bat file located in the C:\ (root) directory showup in the context menus for this.

Try putting your exe in a subDir of c:\

I will check this out... They should be showing up... if files show up in sub folders, then they should show up in the root...
