CF 1.5 has just started bombing to the desktop during loading

It gets as far as "Initialising..." then just terminates, dropping me back to the desktop with no error message.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled again, deleted the entire FluxMedia directory, reinstalled, re-applied the new licence file from january, no change.

    Any ideas?

It has not created an error.log file

I remember that being there before I uninstalled and nuked it (it only had old stuff) but it hasn't come back.

I had this problem at one point when I was first building my system. I wiped the .net framework and centrafuse, and then reinstalled them both. After that it worked fine. It was for me anyway, something with the .net framework.

    Instructions on removing .net framework:
Start -> Control Panel -> Add remove programs -> .Net Framework 1.1 (or 2.0 whatever you have)

Instructions on reinstalling it (easiest way)
Microsoft .net Framework 1.1 Redistributable Package (I hate the windoze automatic installs)
    Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

    Or google "microsoft .net framework"

Thank you. Reinstalling .net 1.1 solved the problem.

Edit: Apart from now the start menu appears on top of CentraFuse for some reason and I can't get rid of it

Edit2: For some reason changing it to 852x480 (my actual screen res) instead of 848x480 fixed this. Weird.

I am having the same problem... except that nothing is helping. I uninstalled dot net and CF. nothing works to solve it. is it supposed to act this way maybe when the license ends on it? Because the comp has been lying around for more than 2 weeks or so while i waited for some new hardware and built my new homemade case and installed..

There was a licence expiry at the end of last year, so providing you have fixed that one and the system was working in January, I don't think that would be the problem.

I've just been out for a drive and my CF is still working fine with mine, and I'm pretty sure the date is correct.
