I would think double click would be more confusing to nebies. ???

Anyway, my vote is in on the drop-down: TOTALLY USELESS.
You can edit it out of the skin, replace the first page of your main-menu with the 6 items in the drop-down, and still get to everything within the exact same number of clicks.

fyi: the buttons of the main page stay functional when other sections are opened so a design with static menu should be possible.

I think david himself stated on other thread that its not currently possible. But it is possible to do with skinbedder, that option is only limited because of 1.6's poor support for hotkeys.

i'm creating my new skin atm and so have testet parts of it in the standart skin, due to the different resolutions the buttons of the main page where still accessible with other section loaded so i tested them and they work, this is all whats needed for a static menu i'd say.

    3) Don't care option for me ......

I think the drop down menu is good, pointless having the menu on show ALL the time, when I personally hardly ever use it !!
