I'm not sure what problems you are having... for most people, atleast reported, it's as simple as deleting the flux media directory before installing the new version...

can't reproduce a problem like you are having... Something must be messed up with your .NET framework possibly... Try uninstalling all version of .NET and reinstalling just .NET 1.1, then run windows udpate to get the .NET 1.1 updates...

the first morning 1.6 was out I downloaded it & installed it in the car on a freash system.... a few hours later david anounced that there was some issue with the prior download, & told everyone to remove & reinstall.... but I never did this yet...

so this mourning, with 7 days left on the trial period, I went & removed cf through control panel add/delete prog.... the deleted the whole flux directory.... downloaded it again & installed.... STILL 7 days left on the trial!

obviously something stays with the system even after removed & reinstalled

didn't say it didn't, but the dialog should still popup to allow you to enter a serial number, which can be obtained from the website...

The problem reported was a seperate dialog for "invalid license", which is a different issue, which is generally corrected by completly removing the application directory after installation, which now should happen automatically when you uninstall 1.6...

On a related note. I imagine this isn't possible since Xeho licencing is a 3rd party product, but would it be possible to use the OSK for entering licence info.

Until recently I was using VNC over an ad-hoc wireless for this job, which is a pain to configure. It'd be nice if I could just go down there with a USB flash drive, install the new CF and key in the new serial that I had scribbled on a bit of paper.

(unrelated note: I put my thumb drive in today, now with a few MP3s on it. I am very impressed with how CF responds to this, and even more impressed that when I unplugged it without warning it resumed my original music without the slightest complaint. Superb!)

I might, keyword "might" have the solution to this problem...

In the beginning, I originally had v1.5 on my PC. I uninstalled it, WITHOUT deleting any directories that remained on the system. Just a plain ole uninstall from windows Add/Remove programs.

Next I installed v1.6. After the install, I attempted to open the program but was halted with an Invalid License prompt.

Next I uninstalled v1.6 and did a quick file search for the word "centrafuse." I came across a file called "centrafuse.exe.cf375077.ini" located in C:\Documents and Settings\'User Name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Application History.

I deleted this .ini file and reinstalled v1.6. It went off without a hitch. I was also prompted to Register this time, something that didn't happen on the initial install of v1.6. Now the uninstall and reinstall could have fixed it by itself, or it may have been the file I deleted. Not really sure, but it might be something to try.

I will plug in the keyboard and give it a shot when I get off work today. I am getting more used to Mobile Impact and like the game emulator feature of it but i can add the emulator to external apps in centrafuse. and to be honest.... I MISS CENTRAFUSE!

Make sure when you do your search that you include "Search Hidden Files and Folders" under the More Advanced Options search tab. You might need to have your folders setup to display hidden files as well. Please post how it works out for you.
