I have asked for this many times... Along with sending other plugins and ext apps to other monitors. David said that sound is a hardware issue and will never be fixed. How I do have to wonder I see many games / software move their sound around with another keeping it in the same place, I thought directx could manage that.. I don't think there is enough of us multiple monitor people out there to get these changes...

hmm it seems there must be some way to handle it maybe it would require a custom driver to support a dual sound card but i know for example I can have two seperate physical (non SLI) video cards in my computer and windows is able to extend my desktop across them. I'm sure it must be possible to write software that sends the output to a specific sound card, a griffin radio shark can import live audio via usb so there's really no reason why the opposite couldn't be done w/ appropriate hardware/software any decent audio mixing software can create a surround mix like adobe audition and it is able to send any audio stream to any channel, its just a matter of how mcuh work you put into writing the software, but as you say there probably isn't enough demand currently to make this a reality at least unless one of us writes the code for it.

It's definetly possible with dual sound cards and even possible with a single soundcard that has multiple channel output. It's just not currently supported.

I plan to extend the dual video support to all the plugins and external applications and then work on being able to set where to output your audio, but I have other things on my list to get done first.

Thats good to know that is will be worked on. I was always under the impression that it never was going to be done. I know I did an upgrade to my system just to make sure to be able to have 3 monitors going and have enough power to run everything stable. I figured I would have to start looking elsewhere to get things done front end wise.
