Might be better asking in the GPS forum?
i have the gps reciever that was bundeled with microsoft streets and trips 2006 (ppharos) and have read about updated drivers.. could anyone send me these driers or throm me a link as to where i can download them
except for what i can tell this is a centrafuse problem... and the only mmention of these "updated drivers" are in this forum so i figured someone here would know what i was refering to
Is it not working with Streets and Trips? If it's just a serial GPS they usually don't need drivers. Is it USB? If it is are you trying to use it with another GPS program?
no it works great with streets and trips.... it just doesnt work worth a crap with centrafuse
yes its a usb gps reciever and yes.. im trying to use it with destinator 3 that is built into centrafuse 1.6... i just specifyied that it came with streets and trips 2006 to let everyone know which gps reciever it was
If it's usb then it may not work with other mapping programs, unless it shows up as a COM port when you plug the GPS unit into the computer. Go look in the Device Manager and see if it does, if so then you could try and specify that COM port in Centrafuse/Destinator.....
If not then you need to look for a program (if one exists) that will convert the USB GPS data into a virtual COM port. I know delorme has such a program but not sure if it works with GPS units beside their own. Do a search and see if you can find something like for your GPS....... basically needs to convert USB data to a COM port through software.
lol i dont think ive been clear.... the gps reciever IS usb.. it shows up in destinator.. and SOMETIMES it works.. i have read in other cf/destinator threads that other people with the SAME gps reciever as me have fixed the low signal messages with updated drivers.. however i am unable to find these updated drivers.. the gps reciever is use but it has a usb to serial bridge.. this is what i need the drivers for. there have been several mentions of these drivers in this forum.. however noone seems to know where to obtain them
