Ive searched and ive searched and i have searched. I cannot find a USB GPS receiver that is compatible with iGuidance and CF 1.7 when it comes out. I refuse to go on ebay because i dont trust this type of thing to buy and end up having compatibility issues.
Just wondering what kind you guys have, where'd you get it from, and how much it cost you.
Thanks in advance.
Does this look any good?

Pretty much any GPS that connects via Serial port or USB (probably with the exception of the MS Streets & Trips reciever, unless you get the right drivers) that supports NMEA output will work. The ebay recievers should be fine.
OT: will the new destinator engine in CF support TMC/RDS so will it be wise to buy a GPS reciever with TMC/RDS?

Ditto on BU-353. Can't go wrong with that one. I bought mine on ebay without any trouble.
Do you guys with the BU-353 experience the "GPS NOT FOUND" problem when your system comes out of hibernate with CF 1.6? Any known way (other than to not hybernate) to get around that with 1.6 on any GPS hardware?
TIA!
In RR we fixed this problem by disconnecting the port before hibernate and reconnect on resume, works a charm.Originally Posted by sstiglich
I have no problems resuming from hibernation in RR or CF and have not had to do any workarounds to make it work. If you're using a USB hub, you may want to try plugging your receiver directly into the usb port on your puter rather than the hub.
I've tried the disconnect reconnect trick using DEVCON, and i still have the disconnect issue. I am using a Microsoft (Pharos) USB GPS directly connected to the port on the PC. One thing different is that I built using Windows 2000; perhaps that's related...
The USB receiver bundled with the Microsoft Streets and Trips works very well otherwise. It actually reads the satellites from below a fiberglass panel; nothing is visible!
