Destinator Version in CF 1.7?

David,

In a recent post you mentioned that 1.7 is using Destinator ND. I recently received Destinator PN as a gift. Will PN work with Centrafuse 1.7 & Destinator ND? Do I need to exchange my copy oF PN before I open it? Where can I get Destinator ND?

I would wait to open it until 1.7 arrives.. But that looks like it will take a while...

ND is not sold seperately, it's a standalone HW. But since it's virtually the same software as PN, I think the PN maps will work.

Yeah, poor David must be pretty overworked! 1.7 was originally scheduled for mid April (and 1.8 by end of April)!

So is there any way to get the PN maps to work with 1.6 (D3 engine)? And we're not sure that the PN maps will work with CF 1.7 using the ND engine? I guess that means I'm in limbo, nav-wise!

PN maps works with CF1.6 but they have to be modified.

This is what you have to do:

1. Install a map you want.
2. Delete WCE_b1.dat and WCE_b2.dat from that folder
3. Copy in the WCE.TXT for the map from the CD and insert in the same folder.
4. Open the edited map in MapMonkey mapcutter.
5. Cut the map, does not have to be much, just cut something.
6. Save the map.

Now the map is in D3 readable form and works in MM, FD and CF

1. No, it usualy ends up in the C:\Destinatorapps..........
6. The new map will end up inside Mapmonkey and must be moved to Destinatorapps. Just rename or delete the old map first.

hey, can someone help me im trying with a map of scandinavia but i keep getting an error, it says that the map is not registered.. can you plz help me.. i have tryed every thing but the same problem.. ps my english every bad..

Hope its the new Destinator 6 Engine as this is the only GPS that has full coverage of Ireland, until now it has only been Major Cities and National Roads etc.
