    USB sound and bluetooth suggestions

    I have been searching the forums for months. I am finally at the last step of installing my carPC. I was wondering if some of you could suggest a USB sound card that works with CF 1.6 and a known good bluetooth dongle.

    Or if someone has a secret to get the SP13000 onboard sound to work properly?

    As far as I understand it, the only really important thing with the bluetooth dongles is that they have a licence to use the Widcomm bluetooth stack as opposed to relying on the Microsoft one.

    You will need to obtain updates to the widcomm stack from your dongle's manufacturer (ones from other manufacturers wont work) so check their websites and see if they keep their drivers up to date. Current version is 5.0.2500 I believe.

    For sound I believe David is planning to fix the issue with rear channels on sound cards so I possibly wouldn't make my purchasing decision based on what works with 1.6

    I have an M-Audio Sonica Theatre that does work with 1.6 but front channels only, apart from that I'm very happy with the card and it's sound quality so I look forward to seeing it fully supported in the future
