CF 1.7 - other thread closed

Hi,

i don´t know why the other thread was closed, but the release dates - or better : the promissed but never kept release dates - of centrafuse really start to get ridiculous.

At least - David didn´t say which year.

For freeware this would be acceptable, but not for a product which turns commercial in the next releases.

you have not paid anything for this product, so their are no guarantees as of yet, given or implied...

We were held up with talks with various companies and awaiting bug fixes in 3rd party components, which the time frames are out of our control. This includes being stalled by Destinator, XM, Sirius, and Apple...

This was another nice and pointless thread to start...

1.7 will be out when 1.7 is out... I have Centrafuse torn apart awaiting fixes from a 3rd party, which will hopefully be soon...

If it goes much longer we will package up the all the fixes and features that have been made and make a release, but we plan to release with all new components and features soon.

Wow, complaining about something that is free at the moment is harsh. What do you want them to do - be like Microsxft and release a product that has to undergo 100MB of bug fixes within weeks of launching? Let them get it done right and they'll release it when they release it.

BTW, this the best frontend I have used!

U make it too easy... punching back, i mean with that microsoft analogy...

i mean, atleast they release the fixes within weeks

Try to imagine if microsoft would have hold all XP bugfixes until VISTA release... well thats how cf works...

MS lets u betatest free, totally similar to cf in that sense.

I dont see huge difference if one or hundreds people are sitting on bug fixed code.

Go do some research on how well microsoft met all their deadlines... in some cases years behind schedule...

you have one or two people working on writing software and fixing bugs versus; say, 20 people working on 'just' fixing the bugs. advantage microsoft
