Do to multiple recent negative and unappreciative posts that had no purpose for the software or community, we are deciding whether we will be offering public Beta releases to the community anymore.
We have in house Beta testers as well as many distributors that will be helping with our Beta testing. We have always released to the community to let people use the software, get user feedback, and to give something back to the community, but unfortunetly this may no longer be the case.
We of course will still be emailing out discount codes to the currently registered Beta testers when the commercial version is completed and will still have some sort of Beta testing program, but in a more controlled environment that is used to help the software and the scene.
More information once we get 1.7 finished. We still may have public Beta releases, but that is uncertain at this time.
I know it was a long time between releases and this frustrates a lot of people, but in this version we have been working with Destinator and there were unexpected delays. For time purposes we felt it better to continue are work instead of rollback portions of the application to make a release. We might not have made this decision if we knew how long the delays were going to be.
If things are not sorted out by the end of next week, I will release what we have working around the end of next weekend.
NOTE: Like I said we WILL still have a Beta testing program, but it will be run in a more controlled environment. We are looking into a better bug and feature enhancement tracking system for public users. I will still post to the forums when 1.7 is completed and still answers posts as I always have done.
Just to be clear, the upcoming Beta's will still be available. We are simply going to make the download for registered users that want to test the software and provide feedback. I will be posting when 1.7 is ready for download and how to download it once it's finished. Again I still will answer all posts on our sub forum here just as fast as I always have.
We love the community here at mp3car and I have always tried to respond, answer, and take into consideration everything posted in our sub forum. We simply plan to take the trial download off the website until the application has been completed. Obvously some users downloaded the application and did not realize that it was a Beta. We are just going to seperate the Beta testers and make it clear that the application is a Beta when you download to use it.
