Hi David,
i've bough mine on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT
it's 4x20 Char and working well even using a 2.50m LPT cable .
The only trouble i've notify is a refresh pb after changing a playing status option like repeat to normal option, the status "repeat" won't disapear same for "pause to play" the final E char. from pause still and it wrote "PLAYE"
Finally the title scrolling is really slow. Is there any way to speed up this data transfert ?

I will look into this... I currently do not have a VFD for testing... I am mainly curious why you are getting output and others get nothing...

what is the difference your unit in the other units that are failing?

Cool, thanks for that. As a head's up though, that app needs the Port95NT driver which can be found here.


BUT... umm, LCDCenter seems to only be for serial driven panels (the editor only lets you select from COM ports)? The support in Centrafuse is for parallel devices, and it looks like you're using a parallel panel in your pics?

I am mainly trying to figure out why some devices are working with Centrafuse and some our not. If they are both HD44780 parallel devices, they should both work...

I know you can get them to work with other softwares, we need to try and figure out why one works with Centrafuse VFD output and the other doesn't...

I assume I need to just order a few different VFD's to play around with...

There are also timing settings for the VFD that might could be tweaked to make it work... They are under settings or in the vfd xml file in the system folder...

I've tried to change settings in the VFD.XML files but nothing changes....I don't know if it's same for other.

But yours is working using Centrafuse VFD output support right? It just has some speed and refresh issues, which I can work out.

Some do not get any output from Centrafuse at all I believe...
