i have the same problem with a simple USB storage dongle. I think the prblem comes from the "import songs" function.
I tried to hookup my ipod to my carputer and it was a success. Detected and installed. Then in CF i tried to play songs off the ipod, but when I click on the "external drive" (the button below the cd drive button) it tries to get a list of the songs from the ipod.. Now the problem is that it says estimated time = Infinity! So I was wondering if I did something wrong, or if this was normal. Also if I don't change the ipod at all, will it have to do this everytime? BTW my ipod is 40 GB, but has roughly 25 GB on it now. Thanks!

When I connect mine, it always tells me "no usb device found." I can't figure out why its not found. It comes up fine in itunes. Any suggestions?

Thos of you who do have it working.... do you have itunes installed, or no?
I have a similar issue with my H10.
I worked around it by creating a Music Path that points to the H10 media folder and then not using the USB button, and instead use the normal local browse button to hit the path directly.
I think David's talked about this in another thread and mention that attempts to rebuild the library will be smarter in RC2.
