Invalid License RC1?

Hi... I cant seem to get 1.7 to run! I had 1.6 installed without the extension lic file and had just left it until 1.7 came out... So i just installed 1.7 and it wont start up, just says invalid license and wont give me the option to put in the product key! Any ideas?!

I installed it to a differ hd/location. That worked for me.

Just remove the old license file in the CF directory,
CF will then launch and give you the "register menu"
add your new key there...

nope none of that worked... doesnt matter though as that was on my laptop.. In the car I uninstalled the old version and deleted the directory first and it works just fine!

make sure all previous versions are uninstalled and their directories have been deleted. You might also wanna scour the registry for old serial numbers...

use regedit to search for 'centrafuse' or 'fluxmedia' and delete all references.

Then re-install 1.7 and manually type in the reg code which you are given from www.centrafuse.com, I think its in the user account section, somewhere there's a button to request a serial number.

Doing this should create you a new .lic file.

This is the proceedure I did on mine and it worked a treat

Uninstalling 1.6 was suppose to delete the old license files... I'm not sure why this didn't happen...

Also installing 1.7 should have detected and automatically uninstalled 1.6... I will look into it...

this did not happen, I tried it. I am uninstalling both versions now. After installing 1.7 I had the same issue with the license, I deleted it and was able to use the new license, but I could not get past the setup screen, the day and night skin feilds remained empty as well as the times to switch them. I could not save the settings, the only thing i could do was cancel out.

I am uninstalling both now to see if I can get it to work after installing.

After you uninstall make sure to manually delete the directories where you had them installed before you try to re-install 1.7...

It did work after removeing both installations, the flux directory, rebooting and then installing 1.7

I think the setup was not working because it was reading the 1.6 setup xml.

not sure why it did not detect/uninstall 1.6, it was in the default dir (C:\Program Files\Flux Media\Centrafuse )

everything is working great now
