XLE media player not functioning after resume from hibernation?

I just entirely reformatted my PC after it took a dump a few days ago (see my other thread).

I installed a new HDD, fully updated it and patched it, etc.

When the computer resumes from hibernation with CF running, the music does not resume playing, and the media player portion of CF does not work AT ALL. I can click forever, load new songs, etc, and nothing plays.

    What gives?

edit: If I pause before I send the computer into standby, it will resume from standby and will work and allow me to press play. If I let CF play while I send it into hibernate, when it returns it shows the time where the music had stopped, and it never goes away even when clicking a different track, etc. It never 'unpauses' persay, forcing me to close CF and restart it to get the media player working again.

Am I the only one with this problem? This seems like a serious issue! If it is just me, I'd love to know how to fix it... right now it is nearly unusable to me.

i have the problem when i shut my car off and the pc goes off and i start it back up...centrafuse doesn't start the last media played...i always have to go and select the music all over again. When i then do that, it starts whatever song i selected at the same time the last song was stopped at...for example

Im listening to Song A. I cut the car off and Song A is at 2:45
I turn car back on and when i go to media. I have to go to Song B. Song B starts at 2:45. I got autoplay media and all that stuff on but it doesn't work

After further testing, it does it whether the song is paused or not. And what is even worse, when I exit CF and go back in, the music doesn't "autostart" as it should, and it forgets where it was playing in the media library, and starts at the top of the playlist... and to top it all off, starts playing WAY louder than I had it set before I closed CF. It just doesn't work!

I MUST be the only one with these issues, as I cannot imagine ANYONE being able to use this app in a car environment with hibernation enabled... it simply does not work... even as a simple media player.

Back to frodoplayer until I figure out if I am an idiot or if this app truly is this full of bugs...

I run hibernation in my car every day... Are you running any external applications? Any specific plugins setup? Did you look for an error.log file?

autostart music back up is an option in setttings, turn it on for that to work...

if properly shutdown it should remeber all your settings, so something is working right, the error.log should shed some light...

As I mentioned, this is a clean OS install with all the current updates... no plugins or embedded apps, nothing.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled CF and came across a diff issue this time... Now it wouldnt even resume from hibernation. It started to show the resuming from hibernation progress bar, and seemed to finish, but then the screen went black and it restarted... I tested it again without running CF and it pulled out of hibernation just fine...

Here is the newest error.log file.

Wouldn't you know it... I didnt have .net framework service pack 1 installed... that could be the problem! Oops. I did mention I could easily be an idiot, right?

Hopefully this will resolve the problems!

Sorry David if I seemed flustered... windows update told me there was nothing more to download! Liars!

Edit: It didn't help!!! It still doesn't resume! This time, when I tried to exit CF so I could get the damn music to play again, it crashed the system and restarted itself!!! I am on my last straw here...

Have you looked at your hardware setup? It could be a Bios setting that you have set wrong. I wouldn't go jumping down David's throat because you have a obscure problem. Nobody else seems to be having this problem, so it probably isn't Centrafuse.

I am trying hard not to, but this frontend has so much potential, yet still so many bugs despite a seemingly huge effort to test it before the RC (this is ignoring all of the major problems I am having, potentially being my own fault).

The weird thing is, I can make every other app come in and out of hibernation just fine. I have installed CF and only configured the bare minimum to make it work and it still freaks out when it resumes, causing my computer to restart and telling me it recovered from a serious error. I imagine any bios change would effect the other apps as much as it would CF.

Edit: Frodoplayer goes in and out of hibernation just fine... not nearly as pretty, nor as many features, but good enough until I figure out whats going on. I tried RR and have some personal issues with the clunkiness of the setup and the seemingly excessive features. It's almost too much. It doesn't help that I am not a huge winamp fan either.

David, maybe you can give me some guidance as to what could be wrong? I'd like to get it working, as when it does work, it is quite a lovely program
