Thread: CF still has crappy random.

With JITs Nexus skin I decided to give CF RC1 another try in my car. As indicated in another thread, RC1 is hella slow to start up. It also locks up a lot or does not properly switch away from an embedded app. It also starts without playing music sometimes and it sometimes stops music when switching to an embedded app (one that should not "pause"). It also still only truly browses by album and it still does not have a sort function for the now-playing list. ...but my biggest grip is that f***ing random is still broken.

1) Load all your music in to now-playing (about 8,000 songs for me)
2) Turn on random and press next-track a bunch.
3) Within less than 100 songs it will start repeating the same songs over and over.

Please consider my random implementation David. Take the now-playing array, randomize it, then play it in order. This guarantees that you will not hear the same song twice until you have listened to every song, or you have turned off random and then turned it back on again. It also allows you to move forward and backward in your random array with infinite history in both directions. This is how WMP works I believe. It is defiantly how the Kenwood Music Keg / PhatNoise PhatBox work and I really like it that way.
