    Few problems for me for RC1

    first off, i love centrafuse and my car would NOT be the same without it!! thanks!!

    two questions really that i wanted to have an answer to, i have searched high and low and just cant seem to work it out!!

    1. How can i set freedrive as an external program? i set the appropriate external.cfg settings and then the buttonlayout.cfg file as well but when i went in, all i could see was the weather button nothing out of place in the cfg files but some help here would be muuch appreciated thanks!!

    2. This ones really got me stumped. I have a cam down low in my front bumper and i had it working fine before, but in RC1 for some reason when i go into settings and select my cam thenwhen i open it up i see nothing, and the cam doesnt initialise!! i have tried this with 2 different cams so its more than likely not that - is there anything special i need to set?

    any answers very much appreciated, probably just something simple ive missed on my searching!

    thanks

    The CAM code was rewritten in RC1... Make sure you select a Device and Video Source... If you are using WDM drivers it should work fine...

    i think that may be part of the problem i am having, the cam comes up fine in Video Device, but if i click on Video Source, nothing happens! I think my drivers are WDM as it works fine with other apps + it comes up in my computer etc...

    edit::

    the 1st prob is now fixed, was just me being dumb not realising i could do it in the program all good now tho ^_^

    just the cam to fix!

    David: This CAM question reminds me of an idea I recently posted...

    I think it would be so cool to have a skin where video from a front-mounted cam was displayed as the background at all times. The interface would be like a cable-box or TV that displayed a semi-transparent UI over the video. This way even when you are looking at your LCD you would be watching the road. It would also be cool for a back-up cam such that when your reverse lights turn on the background changes to the back-up cam's video without having to interrupt the UI by changing to a separate cam screen. If you have a TV-tuner or a watching a video, you could also bring up other UI features (like a semi-transparent web or weather) over the playing video.

    Is there any chance you may be able to make this dream a reality?

    The reverse lights will be coming through the use of serial/usb relay boards, I plan to build a plugin for this and HVAC controls...

    As for the overlay, that is not in the current plans...
