    How to play Audio CDs

I know I am just missing something here. When I put an audio CD in to the drive and click the CD button I get the no CD found error. I am able to plug in a USB thumb drive and play that music.

    Please help..

    Thanks

Same here. I have Centrafuse installed on my carPC and home computer (for testing purposes). My carPC has only two drives; the hard drive ( C: ) and the CD/DVD-ROM drive ( D: ). I can play cd audio fine there.

But on my home computer I have mutiple drives include virtual drives. My actual CD/DVD-ROM optical drive is drive letter G:. But when I have Centrafuse open and put in a music CD, it does not detect it. I dont know if my virtual drives are throwing it off or what...

Is this with only virtual drives? Does it create an error.log file when you click CD?

I use WMI to query available CDRom devices, they might not be getting picked up...

    Your on XP I assume?

I have a USB CDrom. No error.log either.

I could swear that I posted yesterday a reply here, but, can’t find it. Anyway.

I’m currently just learning how to use CF and I’m working on it in my desktop. My current setup is:

Windows XP Pro Portuguese fully updated.
    CF RC1.

Several Drive letters C: thru O:.
They include drive J: a virtual drive ( courtesy of alcohol 120% ) and a Aopen DVD/RW witch is drive k:
    3 network mappings, x:,y; and z:

I installed wmi tools and using wmi browser I can identify there, the two CDRom drives.

    No error.log

    CF behaviour:

Without and Audio CD inserted on the K:, when I click the CDRom Icon in the player, I receive the “no CD-Rom present message”, but when I have a Audio CD it clears the current playlist, displays a number “1” in the corner of the Icon but nothing else happens. It’s like the player is looking in the correct drive letter but can’t play the content.

In settings, Import CD, none of the options work ( including eject ). I click and nothing happens. But also on settings, library, import, if I browse to drive K: , it displays the track list ( track01.cda, … ) and allows me to copy them to the hard disk.

Its kind like it is recognizing the CD as a Data CD instead an Audio CD.

This is not a big issue because I will not be using a CD drive in the car, but it might by annoying for someone else.

    Tks
