    split screen

I see the Mobile Impact has added "split screen to its software and it needs two vga cards to make it work. Well I was wondering if split screen can be added to CF usiing the video out instead of the extra vga card. The Reason I ask is because I want to send video to the back screen (DVD Mpeg etc.) and still see all my other controls on the main screen.

You already can send the video to a rear screen if you have multiple video cards...

I do this now. I have an onboard video card with VGA out for front touch screen and SVHS out for rear screen. I run the system on Extended Desktop. When I start a movie, I have to click full screen for it to send it to the rear screen. I also had to go to the setup menu and till the system to send video and DVD to the 2nd display. You will only see the 2nd display if you have a 2nd monitor hooked up. I do have a problem going to full screen sometimes. From what I have found in this forum, you need to double click the small screen to send the video to full screen. For me this does not work for video. I have to click the small rim around the video. Any way it works.

I'm pretty sure CF can do this without the hack described above. I know I have seen options to set display numbers for various things within CF, so just make sure that the video out is turned on by selecting "enable this monitor" in the Display control panel of Windows and you should be good to go.

If i remember correctly you can only "clone" your desktop with the onboard VGA/TV-out on Via Epia, so no dual screen.
