Suggestion for popup letters

I think it would be a good idea to change the way the popup letters work. (Is that what they are called? Im referring to click holding on a list, and getting the huge letter in the middle to jump to specific spot on the list).

Anyhow, the change is simple... if you are looking at your list, and you are browsing your letter "J", then you decide to click-hold to get the Letter feature, instead of starting by showing you just any letter, have it start by showing you letter "J", so you can scroll up/down relative to where you are already at.

I think the way it currently works, it will pop up a latter based on the vertical position of your click-hold.
