I will be having TMC support and we are working on street names in 3D mode... I am working with the latest Destinator SDK they have in creation...

The version I use is based on an older engine, but only by a few sub versions... And it runs only 06 maps...

I will be adding the two features you mentioned into the current version and upgrading to the D6 SDK, which we have them working on now... It's not projected to be finished until first of next year at the earliest though...

Can you ask them if the TMC support will include the UK ( its a license issue not free like in the main EU ) or if we have to use their 'Trafficsam' product to get this here ? This is not just a simple case of can you receive the signal via your software....

PS TMC provider in the UK I belive is RAC-Traffic Master & not ITS Holdings

Are you saving the proper D6 release to final product or are we stuck with D5.1xxx?

I know its a vast improvement over D3, but still, I'd feel pi$$ed about having to pay for an obsolete solution when newer one exists.

I can understand if destinator don't want you free issuing people with the new software for beta testing, so was wondering if D5 integration is just a stop gap whilst testing is in progress!

Hard to explain.... The version system at Destinator is very confusing... What you know as D3, D5, D6 mean nothing compared to their engines...

I'm using the latest engine they have available via their SDK... If I told you the version it would really confuse things....

Those external marketing versions do not compare with what I am doing working with the development team...

So if you use latest SDK why no names on 3d view Perspective angle tends to turn to pretty much 2d when you zoom out on 3d view, why's that? Makes it no good for seeing the road ahead.

I've also notice mine routes you off a main raod if their is a short cut round a little back street and then back to the same road, even on quickest route! This is well annoying when it pulls you off a fast road to go round the houses and back on to the fast road.
