    dvd player problem

    hello,
I have a problem with the dvd palyer in CF. I had the problem with the previous version too. When i press the play button the video starts to play but it is very dark. Only at the start of the video (vhen i press the play button) it only flashes for 0,5sec with normal brightness but after that it plays almost without brightness. I try the powerdvd and the windvd and they are working fine. My video card is nvdia tnt2 32mb, cpu cel 1300, 512mb ddr ram. I dont know what to do. i must close the CF and run the windvd or powerdvd to play video.

I have the same problem. Its impossible to see the picture. I can see moving shadows... thats it. I have to watch DVDs in Windows media directly. I haven't tried watching a movie on 1.20 yet, but we will see tomorrow.

Does anyone else have problems watching DVDs because they are too dark?

What version WinDVD do you use? I had no luck with all the latest codecs, (wasn't a "too dark" issue though, I was either getting video with no sound, or sound with no video, with the various codecs I tried). The only codec that worked for me came with WinDVD5 (that's Version 5)...

WinDVD 5 does work the best... We are also working on a new DVD player that will work in both XP and Vista and works better with newer codecs...
