Top left Menu DropDown

I wanted to get an idea of who liked the menu drop down. I am considering losing it all together and giving more space for the song title in the top header.

I find myself always using the back button and the drop down not very good for in car use.

It also removes a large button from the screen which in turn cleans up the interface and makes it less busy...

Just seeing what everyone thinks...

I'm for that! If you think it will clean it up a bit. And to make it run better... I dont see any real use for it, the program looks better without it I think.

I kinda like it now, & use it to pop open the menu, but I don't think it's good were it is default, takes way to much space... there is no need for it to be so huge & prominant to me... but I do use it, just with a much smaller button & relocated.... I guess it wouldn't be a big loss really if it wasn't there too, but it can be used pretty slick when making other skins too...

I second to remove it, it's redundant cause the main screen is nothing but a menu, have it removed in my own skin anyway.
And you could add a hotkey to open the main screen page 1 (not last viewed page like it is now) to make the access to most used sections even faster. Another nice thing would be to have empty pages of the main screen removed from toggle order, so if all buttons of the third page are empty it just cycles through page 1 and 2, most people probably don’t need more then 12 sections.

Im always using the drop down. Please don't remove it. Mabe give a option in settings to remove it from the skin. But don't remove it all together. Unless your going to put a gesture program in like streetdeck. But still don't remove it. I hate going to the menu every time to change program. I love the drop down. I mean you already got rid of the 5 buttons on the side of the screen to replace it with the drop down. Removing the drop down to me would be removing an improvement.

Or even yet make 2 different skins one with it one w/o but don't remove the feature.

I agree....Dont remove it all together! Atleast put an option to enable/disable it in the settings!

keep in mind that once cf is sold & secured by many, there will be more skins surfacing... right now it's hard to invest the time & energy to doing skins cause of the volitility of licencing & frequent changes... I think it's pretty important that once this is actually released & sold, that backwards compatability of skins is extremely important, & problems there can really hurt enthusiasim & loyalty...

anything that is in the program that adds to the customazabilty of skins is a good thing..., the popup menu is a benifit that can or not, be used... only take it out if it's going to improve or correct another aspect, if not then definatly leave it in the xml's at least, if not in the default skin...
