Automatic Album Art

Is there any way to get your albums or mp3s to automatically update with album art. It would be nice if I could do this for entire albums, wherre all the songs are in a specific folder

There are quite a few apps out there that can perform music library management very well. Try 'The Godfather' (google it).

i used godfather and manually saved a picture for each album into its directory. the pics are still not showing up in centrafuse, what am i doing wrong? if i try and click on the picture in godfather and save it as part of the tag, no jpg file shows up in the folder, so im assuming its not working....

Hari-Bhari: Go to the folder where the mp3s for a given album are. Do you see a file called 'folder.jpg'? Make sure you are not 'hiding' the folder.jpg file, because Windows now likes to do that.

At any rate, I suspect the folder.jpg files are simply not there in your case. In GodFather, you first click on the album art once you find it. It will apper now to the right, in a small window. Now RIGHT-CLICK on that smaller image, and you will see options. One is 'Save as folder.jpg'. Thats what you want.

If all this fails, just go to amazon.com and find the image, save it manually in the folder, and see if that works. IT SHOULD.

sweet, well i found out how to get godfather to do it automatically, turns out you CAN save the album art inside of the mp3 file. as for manually pasting a picture into the folder, i didnt know it had to be called folder.jpg , thanks!

Does anyone know how I can get the artwork downloaded by itunes to show up in CF?

I thought iTunes placed the art inside the file and that should be working...

The itunes art doesn't work. I ended up just using godfather and the whole "folder.jpg" thing. Kind of a hassle compared to the automatic itunes art, but it worked.
