Will CF's OBDII Diag. work with DigiMoto USB?

I'm wondering if CF's Diagnostics will register with DigiMoto's USB Interface Cable? Because I seriously have no Serial cable and I'd rather not get a Serial-USB Adaptor. I' just want it to work...

It's tricky to tell, but possibly (probably) not. The Digi site keeps talking about how their box is based on the "mOByDic" chip set, and I can't find an indicator if it's command compatible with the ELM chip set - which is a pretty large standard, and is what CF needs.

Mr. DigitMoto is on the forum... Maybe he'll see this, or you can drop him a PM. Or, drop a line to DM's support: support@digimoto.com. The question you need to ask is "Are your interfaces compatible with the ELM 323/325/327 command set?".

Do you already have one of their interfaces?

Ahh... When you said that you didn't have a serial cable, I thought you might already have an interface, and were only looking to avoid that aspect.

That said, not to put down Digimoto's hardware, but there's a new player on the scene that is VERY much worth looking into:

That thread's worth reading since it covers some of the things that separate this interface from any other on the market. You might also notice in that thread that Mr. Digitmoto pops in to show _his_ support for the interface, pledging that the Digitmoto Software will support the extended mode of the OBDPro box.

I'm pretty impressed with what the box will do, and that comes from someone that already has 3 OBDII interfaces, ranging from $80-$300.

HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended.
