    Play DVD

What am I doing wrong ore missing?

Am trying to get my USB slime line DVD drive to play DVD in CF but donít have any luck.
Have installed codes (Gordian.Knot.Codec.Pack.1.6.) and player (DVD X Player v4.0 Professional)

Plays DVD in windows fine, but there is no reaction in CF. Is like some setup is missing but I just donít know what it is.

Can any one give me a hint, while searching threads didnít help me much?

Does it show up as a DVD drive? Can you play a DVD in WMP? If you can play a DVD in WMP then it will generally work in Centrafuse...

and btw, I would generally always stay away from codec packs, they are terrible packages that IMOP ruin computers...

I just install FFDShow, AC3Filter, and a nice mpeg2 codec such as PowerDVD or WinDVD and that's all you need to play everything...

if you need quicktime or realplayer, then MAKE SURE to install the QuickTime Alternative and RealPlayer Alternative and not the ones from the real sites...

Yes it shows as a DVD drive in windows.
I donít have WMP installed. (Is that why)
Have tried installing Power DVD but whit this installed CF freeze when entering DVD play option. ??
Thatís why I installed DVD X Player (Is 99% the same as Power DVD)

Centrafuse does not use WMP, but it uses it's codecs and system codecs for video and DVD playback...

you might need WMP for DVD playback, not sure... I use MSWEBDVD for current DVD playback and I am unsure of it's dependencies...

I know DirectX and mpeg2 codecs for sure...
