Gapless mp3's in centrafuse + a small question

    Hey there,
I run a search and saw that centrafuse does not put gaps between the songs and that if there are gaps - it must be in the song itself.

However - all the music I have was encoded by myself using lame (preset = extreme), there are NO gap between the songs and itunes/ipod for example are playing these songs perfectly (they were automatically marked as "gapless album" by itunes).

Any suggestion? should I upload a pair of gapless songs?

In addition - is it possible to lower the volume of the gps lady? I don't want to completely mute her, but I would love it if she could be ~50% of the volume so she won't be so load in comparison to some of the songs I hear...

    Thanks.

Not sure about the gapless, I will have to look into it... I don't believe it works perfectly, especially with cross-fading turned on... That makes it fade from song to song...

I don't add any gaps, but I will add it to my list to look into once all the bugs are clean...

I have it on my list to add features to the voice prompt section of navigation, including setting a specified volume to go to for all voice prompts, as well as making the music ATT instead of fully mute an option, as well as an easy access button or hold button to turn on/off the voice prompts so when you are in a city you know you can tell her to stop talking...

for now the last one seems the most important, I made just make it where if you hold down the view icon it turns voice prompts on/off, what does everyone think?

I don't have time at this stage to go back to the design table for the first stable release... It's bug focus time to get a product I have promised the community released, then I will start working on the next Beta right away after this is released...

I tested it today again, there is no gap perse', it looks like it simply takes a quarter of a second or so for the next song to load, I guess that itunes/ipod simply buffer in the next song and simply continue to play it.
As for your suggestion - if I understand you correctly it sounds awesome.
