    The problem with my TyTn is that I get an "Application Lock" ERROR.
    On the phoco site I read something about my phonecompany locking the phones down but it's not a branded but a retail/bulk phone so that couldt be the case.

    I googled it and found a site witch holds a couple of ROMs witch would solve my problem. The thing is that the ROM I'm currenty running is in Swedish, and its my company phone so I dont want to "mess" with it.

    Is there anyone who could answer the "real" question

    /Björn

    I actually went through a couple of treads and I think I found an answer in the "Centrafuse pricing" thread.

    My only consern right now is if the "DEMO" text still would apper on top of the MAP.

    This will be worked out, we plan to release the SE/XE versions with the same trial of navigation in the current version... If Destinator decides to want us to pull this we will work out a deal to just sell the SDK with no maps, which is much cheaper, it would be like the cost of XE....

    but as of now they have not requested this... The maps are the main cost and we have come to find the reason... Navteq charges about 3x for maps if the software can run on a screen larger than 6"... PND devices are all smaller... this is so they don't create competition for the OEM market they already serve, since they supply over 80% of car navigation systems...

    So we are working to get a version with just the SDK and you can get the maps on your own for retail and distributors...

    @David,
    is there a problem with my account or do you have to get 1.11 by using the updater?

    1.11 was just an updater update... I plan to have 1.12 out fixing the found issues and a few other bugs within days... I will post both the updater update and the new installer for this version...

    The only thing i've done special to my 8525 was to flash it and supercid it (right when I got it) to ensure it's not sim locked or application locked. If your phone is application locked then you won't be able to install the phoco control needed to access the data on the phone. I then put the a cingular rom right back on (the one with the 1.06 stack, since 1.09 was unrecoverable at the time). I haven't gone with wm6 yet, and will probably wait for the full release in July; for two reasons 1) all current wm6 8525 roms are based off of a beta build, and 2) I work for MS and it wouldn't look the best to run a pirated os.

    Then I basically installed a bluetooth 2.0 usb dongle on my carpc (XP SP2 with all patches), then I set the 8525 up as a bluetooh modem (corporate unlimited data plan) following howtos online (really straight forward). Once I verified that it was fully functioning I then installed phoco directly (originally using CF, but the dialogs kept popping behind and I couldn't get to them), and got it running. After that I went through ensuring that CF had phone control setup correctly (the dialogs worked after i did phoco directly), and it's all good.

    Now I just turn on bluetooth, end the current data session long enough to turn on the bluetooth modem, and the car picks it up and runs with it. I very much like only clicking one button on screen to access the internet.

    Now I just need to write a CF based front end for yahoo music unlimited so that I can download drm'd songs on while driving.

    right, sorry perhaps I should have been more specific, I have no problems using the 8525 as a bluetooth modem, its getting it to work with phone control that is the issue. In particular the phone book will not come over. You mentioned above that you were able to use your hermes with phone control as well as bt data. your phone book came over and you can make calls from your carputer??

    thanks.
